Pinterest was my partner while planning our wedding. I spent so much time browsing for inspirations and ideas to make our wedding worth to remember. And despite being mostly DIY, it involves a lot of good people in our lives. I have always wanted it to be intimate, personal, and for every guest not just to attend, but for them to participate. I was just glad that most of the people around us were nothing but supportive.

So to round everything up in one post, I thought it would be helpful to share the details and sources of everything.

Tablescape and Registration Table

I didn't anticipate the wind that day, the long tablescape I set up outdoor was almost ruined. Some of the decors were things I DIY myself while some of the props were borrowed from my friend, Nick which I picked up midnight of our wedding because of the surprise bridal shower threw to me by my friends. Although it didn't turn out really nice, I like that our registration table goes well with our modern-lush-industrial theme.

Bouquet and Boutonniere

White flowers and more greens were my requirements for my bouquet. I wanted it to be wild and spontaneous although my vision wasn't achieved that much. The boutonnieres were pretty though and was given to me for free by Benz, the owner of house florist  when he learned that I was to DIY it.

Foldable Fans

Because it was an outdoor wedding and no air conditioning, I expected it to be really hot so I made sure that it will be covered by preparing foldable fans. I designed it with a wedding timeline and my friend, Cy did the illustrations.

Ring Box

"Even the ring box is customized?" This is the exact words that my mama said to me when I told them that I am to personalize the ring box. LOL It was made of acrylic, it's modern and will never be out of style. I wanted to stay true to my wedding theme so I'm avoiding elements like wood, plastics, and colors that are not part of my wedding's color palette.

Flower Basket and Banner

I wanted my flower girls to be extra cute at my wedding so instead of regular flower baskets, I decided that Miyu and Elise bring banner instead. While Sobe, a bucket of flower petals and with a 'here comes the bride' calligraphy. It was made on the day by Yvette, a dear friend of mine who is a Bicol based artist.

Wedding Activity Booklet for Kids

One of my favorite DIY projects was definitely the wedding booklet for my little guests. I wanted them to spend time meeting and bonding with each other while coloring the booklet during the social hour and not to feel bored the entire party, but what happened was these kids enjoyed the party. They were cheering each time the guests ask us to kiss.

Siganges, Table Numbers and Thank You Cards

If it wasn't windy that day, everything will be perfect. My signages were so pretty, but it fell more than you imagine because of the wind that's - why it looks bad in photos. The table numbers were calligraphy on glass that I specifically requested from Nikki who I've met online. It was her dream project too. The thank you cards were my idea instead of regular menu card on the table.

Wedding Shoes and Wedding Gown

It may sound weird to most of you but my gown was my least of concern. It was made by a local dress shop in our province, called Society Enterprise. They asked me to show them a peg but I can't specifically found one so what I did was showed them the design of what the top, the skirt and the cut should be like. It turned really nice like perfectly made for my personality –  conservative, old soul. Scored it at a very cheap price too!

My shoes and Mel's were both sneakers. Mine was from Keds and his was from Vans. The two of us are really the practical and edgy types that opted for functions and comfort more than fab and glam. I was very comfortable the wedding day, not worying that my feet hurts.

Wedding Cake

Our wedding cake was originally a plain naked cake, chocolate flavor made by a home baker from our neighborhood that my friend, Kookai got to decorate before the guests arrived at the reception. I actually struggled to find any cake topper ideas that isn't corny or cheesy at all. So to get rid with the regular couple names cake topper, I had it customized and the 'from this day forward" cake topper idea, it saves the day.

Confetti

I think one of the most fun yet heart-rending moments in a wedding ceremony is the recessional. It is when the couple exits the ceremony place down the aisle at the conclusion of the union. Everyone is mostly in a hype of emotion. I wanted it to be in a traditional way, tossing of petals and leaves in the air. And to assure that everyone will get the idea of it, I made a pouch for each and everyone reminding why it is done in weddings, and it's such a cute way, right?

Stringlights and Sparklers

Believe it or not, it was Mel and I with 2 of our friends were the ones who installed the string lights the afternoon before our wedding. We had it rented through a third party supplier because the hotel doesn't have it. It made the night magical while the sparkler send off was really epic. It was a very classic way to cap off our wedding reception and woudn't wanted it to end any other way. It was so beautiful, everyone had so much fun.
Our wedding, whenever to think about it now, was a collective effort and hard works of everyone we loved whose kindness and love for us is boundless.

To all my girls, Joyce, Ria, Jessa, Hazel, Avril, Ayen, Mharj, Maybelle, Jian, and Ashley,  I will remember how equally beautiful each and every one of you. I can't thank God how blessed I am to have you all in my life. To our parents who have made our day extra special, thank you for all your support. To my Nanay and Tatay in heaven, you two are my inspiration and my prime examples of how love should be. To our officiating priest, Fr. Mario Gaite the everyone's favorite tito who officiated the wedding of my parents 30 years ago, thank you for bringing light to our wedding ceremony! To our Ninong and Ninang we couldn’t ask for a better way to start our lives without you guiding us. Jonathan and Maika of Oak St. Studios you guys are such a dream to work with. You captured our wedding day more than the way we expected it to be. Thank you. To everyone who took the time to be part of our wedding day, we thank you all.

For the meantime, here's a picture of me being extra hands-on on the day itself of oru wedding.
