Donut's and Sprinkles Theme // Yuna Nirvana's Christening Party

Of all the parties I’ve styled, Nirvana’s Christening Party was my most favorite so far because 1.) Mel and I spent most of our free time hand-stitching the props—stuffed donuts made by our own hands. It was also a nice family bonding while taking care of our baby. 2.) We didn’t use any balloons despite of it being a staple for parties. 3.) Most of our scraps from crafting were cleaned and stuffed inside the donuts. If not zero waste at least we were able to minimize it.

Someday, I’m gonna tell Nirvana that I threw her an eco-friendly party and I made her daddy learn how to hand-stitch all for her. 💚

Pau + Nette Engagement

When Pau contacted us a month ago and let us in on his secret plan to propose to his long time love, Nette, I couldn’t just miss the chance. He wanted us to design the event as a birthday party more than a surprise proposal. We added party trends like balloon garland with touches of romantic elements like festoon lights, fresh flowers and candlelights.

So in one of the nicest restaurants in Naga, while violin and piano music filled the air with sweet tunes, we created a romantic rose gold set up and witnessed a stunning Nette say YES to Pau. What a beautiful moment to be part of.

My Intimate Baby Shower

WARNING: THIS IS A PERSONAL POST. You know what I realized, motherhood’s journey will not be the same with others. Always different from someone else. While most of the moms I know struggle from postpartum, or worries that their child‘s development is delayed, mine started as early as the 6th week of my pregnancy. My pregnancy was diagnosed as blighted ovum. Thankfully, the following week a heartbeat was found. Then on my 21st week, an echogenic focci was found on my baby’s heart, which is a down syndrome markdown so imagine the torture it brought me. But you know what, pregnancy prepares you to motherhood. It made me realize that I am made of tough stuff, physically and mentally. Not only can I endure massive amounts of pain, but my body can deliver life and nourish life. This whole journey strengthens not only me, but my faith in God. It is always miraculous. My last ultrasound showed no markdown at all. My baby is clear from any possible congeniality disorder now.
